This page explains how Sharanya Dental (“Sharanya Dental”, “we”, “our”) uses photographs, videos, illustrations, and before/after images on our website and landing pages (including those used for Google Ads campaigns). Please read this alongside our Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
1) Purpose of Visuals
Our visuals are intended for general patient education and to illustrate treatment possibilities, typical workflows, and oral-health concepts. They are not medical advice and should not be used to self-diagnose or decide treatment without an in-person clinical examination by a qualified dentist.2) Before/After Images — Important Limitations
- Individual results vary: Outcomes depend on oral condition, bone and gum health, habits, age, healing response, compliance, and lifestyle factors.
- No guarantee: Images demonstrate what has been achieved for specific individuals; they do not guarantee identical results for you.
- Comparability limits: Differences in lighting, camera equipment, angles, expression, and time elapsed can affect appearance. We strive for consistency but exact replication is not always possible.
- Timeframes differ: The duration to achieve results (e.g., orthodontic alignment, implant integration, gum healing, whitening shade change) varies by case and may require multiple visits or staged procedures.
- Maintenance matters: Long-term appearance and function often require ongoing hygiene visits, retainers, night guards, or changes in habits (e.g., smoking cessation, dietary choices).
3) Clinical Photography Standards
- Minimal edits: We do not digitally alter clinical treatment areas. Basic adjustments (e.g., exposure, white balance, cropping) may be used for clarity; we do not add or remove clinical details.
- Context cues: Where possible, images are labelled with treatment type and approximate timelines (e.g., “Immediately post-op”, “12 weeks”).
- Compression & display: Web compression and device screens can change how colours and tissues appear; minor variation is normal.
4) Real Patients, Models & Stock
- Patient images: Where you see real patient photos, we have documented consent to capture and display them for educational purposes. Identifying features may be masked when appropriate.
- Models/stock: Some visuals may depict models or licensed stock images meant to illustrate concepts or lifestyle outcomes; these do not represent actual patients or guaranteed results.
- Illustrations/animations: Schematic diagrams and 3D renders simplify anatomy/procedures for understanding and are not literal representations of your mouth.
5) Treatment Suitability & Risks
- Only a dentist can determine if a procedure is suitable for you after history, clinical exam, and necessary investigations (e.g., radiographs, scans).
- All procedures carry benefits and risks (e.g., sensitivity, transient discomfort, healing variability, hardware complications). We will discuss alternatives, risks, and post-care in your informed-consent process.
6) Advertising & Platform Compliance (Incl. Google Ads)
- We aim to comply with applicable advertising rules in India (e.g., ASCI guidance) and relevant platform policies (including Google Ads).
- Some platforms restrict or prohibit the use of explicit before/after or sensational medical imagery. Where required, our ad creatives exclude such visuals.
- When ads link to pages that contain clinical images, these are provided for information only with context and disclaimers. Disclaimers do not override platform rules; if a platform disallows certain visuals, we follow the stricter standard.
7) No Endorsement or Warranty
- Mention of specific materials, devices, aligner systems, implants, or brands is for transparency and education only; it does not imply endorsement, superiority, or warranty.
- All third-party trademarks shown are the property of their respective owners.
8) Intellectual Property & Non-Reproduction
All images, videos, graphics, and text on our site are protected by copyright and other IP laws. You may not download, copy, alter, or redistribute our visuals without prior written permission from Sharanya Dental.9) Privacy, Consent & Minors
- We respect patient privacy and follow appropriate safeguards for capturing, storing, and publishing images.
- For minors, consent is obtained from a parent/guardian as per applicable law and clinical best practices.
- If you are a patient and wish to withdraw consent for future use of your images, please contact us (see Section 12). Withdrawal will not affect materials already published or used under prior consent, where permitted by law.
